Secure your images : destroy-them
On March 25, 2023, I was filming in the heart of a demonstration against the construction of megabasins in Sainte-Soline. The repression was so violent that, by the time I got home, I’d forgotten much of what I experienced there. The images I took have allowed me to retrace my path through the demonstration and restore my lost memories.
Lory Glenn
Born in Montreuil, France, Lory Glenn began his artistic studies at the Duperré school in Paris, where he studied fashion. Involved in a number of social movements during this period, it was during the demonstrations against the Global Security Act that he began to reflect on the image as a tool of protest. He then changed his artistic practice and studied video art at the ERG (graphic research school) in Brussels, where he experimented with his practice and his thoughts on the image. Secure your images : destroy-them is his first film.
